ProgDVB is a free program to view and listen to radio channels from satellite , very stable, it advantageously replaces sometimes complicated programs originally supplied with satellite TV cards. Note that ProgDVB is compatible with virtually all
satellite maps : Arabsat

You need a fairly powerful computer for proper operation of your satellite card and
ProgDVB
If your computer starts to restart itself after the installation of your satellite map is either an overheating problem PC ( DVB satellite map produces a lot of heat) it is necessary to add a fan for ventilation or fan housing for DVB satellite map but more often it is a lack of power (you need at least a 350 W).

2 - Install ProgDVB :
install the drivers (drivers ) of your satellite card from the CD ROM that came with your card.
Then download the latest version of ProgDVB official website: www.progdvb.com
Click " ProgDVB4.52FullInstall.exe " to start the installation , select the language and click next and then choose your satellite map and click next .
Nexus : select " Hardware SkyStar1 fashion "
SkyStar2 : select " SkyStar2 "
Win TV Nova / " budget card " select " Budget card"
Nova USB : Select " USB Budget "
VisionPlus 1020 : select Twinhan
Choose optional extras you want to install
After installing ProgDVB, start the software.
NB: for the intel you need to download a special executable "ProgDVB.exe" for intel (the official site) and you change the executable to C: \ ProgDVB \ necessary for the stability of the software.
3 - Select the language
Click settings> Language> English.
4 - Select your satellite map ProgDVB:
If you have chosen a satellite map when installing this step is not necessary for you if not click Settings> Feature List
Select your card from the list of satellite satellite maps, then click "Start" and then "ok"
5 - Configuring DiSEqC and LNB
A critical task for ProgDVB works well is the DiSEqC configuration settings that you connect one or more LNB to your DVB card (more than one LNB DiSEqC requires a connector). A configuration must be performed for each LNB connected to the card (LOF1 values, SWITCH, and LOF2).
NB: there's satellite maps which supports a single LNB
If you have an LNB connected to your DVB card, select "None" in the DiSEqC section. If you connect multiple satellite / LNB to your card, select "1.0 OR 2.0" in DiSEqC section.
Click on a green dot for "ADD LNB" or select one already there LNB and click "Properties" to configure it.
Select a satellite and click ok
Many satellites use the following values (in the screen shot).
LNB POWER: To check if your receiver powers the LNB (99% of cases).
For other Echostar and Nimiq satellites such, the values to be used are:
Type: Ku-band or circular
LOF1: 11250
SWITCH: 12700
LOF2: 0
Click OK
6 - Scan a satellite or transponder:
The easiest is to have a "channel list" with all reported channels: click here to download it when you download unzip "C: \ ProgDVB \ Channels" (it should turn off and then turn it on ProgDVB )
8 - Nay satellite transmissions (digital TV channels and radio).
Click on the (+) to the channel list appears, click the channel you want to watch:
V = free light chain is R = Radio Free Clear
V = R = encrypted pay channel pay encrypted radio
Double cliuqez on the image (on progdvb) to switch to full screen.
To improve the display click Settings> Audio and Video
And choose your options
Warning: You can try other display options, but if you make a wrong move here ProgDVB is buggy and in this case you need to re-install!
Time shift buffer (timeshifting)
This feature will allow you to see a live show, and pause, and restart later. For example, Pauses the program, will answer the phone, go back and continue to watch your show. ProgDVB uses a buffer (hard disk space or memory) to store the program.
Note that if you Pauses long, you'll need a larger buffer.
TV program guide and recording emissions:
click on the "1" icon to view the program guide (it is not available on all channels)
click on the "2" icon to start recording a program format "MPEG" the recording will be done by default in "C: \ ProgDVB", if you want to record sound (for music channels by example) click Service> recording option and then click recording Format for cannaux TV and choose mpa
To Schedule a recording of a broadcast or film: click the EPG program guide> Click the program you want to record (1)> and click Schedule (2)
This the end, you can have fun with all new channels in your ProgDVB.
